01What Is Responsible Gaming?
Responsible gaming means keeping gaming as a source of enjoyment — without letting it harm other areas of your life. At pgsoft, it means making mindful decisions, knowing your limits, and treating gaming as a healthy form of entertainment.
Online gaming and betting is a fun hobby for many. But for some, it can become a problem — especially when the urge to win or fear of losing starts driving decisions. That's why pgsoft wants to help you build the right habits from the start.
- Gaming is entertainment, not a source of income.
- Never bet more than you can afford to lose.
- Losing is a natural part of gaming — accepting that is essential.
- Gaming should never come at the cost of your family, work, or relationships.
- Using gaming to escape stress or anxiety is a dangerous habit.
02Signs of Healthy Gaming Habits
If you follow the habits below, your gaming is fully healthy and responsible:
Setting a budget in advance
Deciding how much BDT to spend before each session and sticking to that amount.
Time Awareness
Keep track of the time and stop on your own once the limit is reached.
Accepting Losses
Not chasing losses by placing more bets to try to "recover" what you have lost.
Life Balance
Time with work, family, and friends should always come before gaming.
03Recognize the Warning Signs
Gaming addiction doesn't happen overnight. It develops gradually, with signs that — if caught early — are much easier to address. Watch out for the following:
Warning Signs
Chasing losses by placing more bets to win back what was lostHigh Risk
Taking out loans or dipping into savings to fund gamingHigh Risk
Hiding gaming activity from family or friendsMedium Risk
Feeling restless or anxious when not playingMedium Risk
Difficulty focusing on work or studiesEarly Warning Signs
If any of these signs apply to you, contact pgsoft support immediately or complete the self-assessment questionnaire below.
04Self-Assessment Questionnaire
Answer the following questions honestly. If you answer "yes" to more than 3, consider reaching out for help.
1
Do you often spend more time or money on gaming than you originally planned?
2
Do you ever feel the urge to keep playing just a little longer to win back what you've lost?
3
Have you had arguments or conflicts with family or loved ones over gaming?
4
Have you ever used money meant for bills, savings, or work expenses on gaming?
5
Do you game to cope with stress, loneliness, or low mood?
6
Have you tried to stop gaming but found you couldn't?
7
Has gaming affected your sleep, eating habits, or work routine?
Assessment: 1–2 "Yes" answers = stay cautious. 3–4 = set limits. 5+ = seek help immediately. Remember, asking for help is not a weakness — it is an act of courage.
05Step-by-Step Guide to Setting Limits
Setting limits on pgsoft is straightforward. You can access these tools at any time through your account settings:
1
Set a Monthly Budget
Calculate what you can afford to spend on gaming each month based on your income and expenses. Only game from your "entertainment budget".
2
Set a Deposit Limit
Go to the "Responsible Gaming" section in your account settings and enter your daily/weekly/monthly deposit limit. Decreasing a limit takes effect immediately.
3
Enable Session Timer
Set a daily limit on how long you play. Arrange to receive Reality Check notifications every 30 minutes.
4
Set a Loss Limit
Set the maximum amount in BDT you are willing to lose in a single day. Once this limit is reached, you will automatically be prevented from placing further bets.
5
Review Regularly
Review your gaming history every week. If you feel you're spending too much time or money, reduce your limits right away.
06The Role of Family & Friends
Family members are often the first to notice signs of gaming addiction in a loved one. If you're concerned about someone, keep the following in mind:
- Speak Openly: Share your concerns calmly, without frustration or complaints.
- Understand the Situation: Gaming addiction is a mental health condition — not a moral failing.
- Get Help: Help them reach out to a support center or contact pgsoft support directly.
- Set a Limit: A family member can submit a self-exclusion request on someone's behalf.
- Take Care of Yourself: Supporting a loved one through their struggles can take a toll on your own mental health too.
Family Access Controls: pgsoft allows guardians to place restrictions on a family member's account. Contact us at support@pgsoft-vip.com.
